Can someone identify this car for me, please? It's has hints of Lancia Fulvia and I know I've seen it somewhere else but I can't put my finger on it.

Kinja'd!!!

It's gorgeous. I want one.

It's an original Nissan Silvia (CSP311).

I don't remember seeing you around here for a while!

Man, that's bloody rare. I didn't expect that.

It's the ultra-rare first-gen Silvia, but the closest thing you could realistically own is an Alfa Romeo Guilia Coupe, which came out at the same time and looks surprisingly similar.

Lots of good JNC's getting posted today. I'm guessing that Silvia might be this one below. It was at the Japanese Nostalgic show up in the bay area recently.

There are a few in the states. One has been here quite a while, and has been for sale for years at 50k at a dealer in Texas I think. Way overpriced...

They're amazing cars, hand built on the same chassis as the Datsun or Fairlady roadster.

Very cool. Here's some more pictures I found of this particular car:

Good call. I believe the Fulvia is even closer design-wise.

The Guilia is closer in terms of suspension and performance (rear beam with coils) and had about the same power and weight. I think. I'm not very good with Italian car details.

That looks like Mt. Tam and San Francisco in the background? Is this Oakland? I want to see this beauty in the flesh too!

I saw this post a while ago, had no clue what it was. Fire up the PS3, open GT5, hop in a NASCAR, go to the London track in the compact car circuit to troll the little AI cars. What do I see behind me? This Silvia.

I see. I know the Fulvia is FWD, do you about the other 2?

Silvia and Guila were both OHV straight 4 1.6l engines. The Fulvia was a V4 between about 1l and 1.6l. The Guilia was Twin Cam, and a little more powerful though, but the car weighed a bit more I think.

Silvia and Guilia are both RWD. The Silvia had a 4-speed, the Guilia had a 5 speed. The Silvia used leaf springs, the Guilia used coil springs, but neither used a beam axle like the Fulvia. I think all three were wishbone suspensions up front.

Thanks for all the info! I think I'll go look at Guilias now.

Bloody hell that's a good looking car. Now I'm sad it's so rare.
